YAK Agency Dolomiti 2023

For the fifth year, Marco Dalla Dea and Giovanni Cecolin's agency took care of the communication of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike, the most legendary mountain bike race in the Dolomites.

The 28th edition of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike, started on Saturday 8 July from Villabassa, in the heart of the Dolomites. This spectacular mountain bike race has been taking place since 1995, involving thousands of professional mountain bikers and amateur cyclists on three very demanding but unique routes, in the sight of the striking Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The event, one of the most popular in the world among mountain bike enthusiasts, involved almost 3,000 participants from 41 countries in three different tracks: the longest with 123 kilometres and an altitude difference of 3,400 metres, another of 85 kilometres with an altitude difference of 2,360 metres and the last of 60 kilometres with an altitude difference of 1,570 metres.

During the event, YAK Agency was entrusted with the production of photographic and video content, social media management and digital adv in three languages (Italian, English, and German) and the management of the relationship with sponsors for digital communication. Through a team of journalists, photographers and video makers who spent three days in Niederdorf (BZ), YAK Agency documented the course of the race and all the side events in the programme, reporting live on the most important moments of the race, from the start to the awards ceremony, and creating exclusive content about the champions - the Colombian Hector Leonardo Paez Leon triumphed for the fifth time in the 123 km Marathon, while 38-year-old German Adelheid Morath won the women's 85 km race - and the guests present at the race.

The agency worked synergistically with the event sponsors and local authorities to coordinate the communication efforts, confirming itself as a point of reference for stakeholders, brands and athletes of sporting events.
