For the 19th edition of the Asian Games, a team from YAK Agency is currently in Hangzhou, China, covering the Olympic qualification tournament for boxing, the Boxing Road to Paris. Set in the extraordinary Hangzhou Gymnasium, a modern arena that hosts major sporting events throughout the year, boxers from the Asian continent are competing for one of the 34 Olympic spots available. From September 24th to October 5th, 237 athletes from 37 nations will step into the ring, facing off in 13 weight categories, 7 for men and 6 for women.
This competition marks the third stage of the long qualification pathway for Paris 2024, a journey consisting of five continental tournaments and two final world events, all aimed at selecting the top 248 boxers worldwide who will have the privilege to compete in the upcoming Olympics.
YAK Agency continues its role in managing communication for this event, handling press operations, press office, and taking care of the relations with international media. This responsibility has been entrusted to us through our longstanding collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which, since 2019, has assigned YAK Agency the task of managing communication before, during, and after all the boxing qualification events, initially for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and now for the new Olympic cycle towards Paris 2024.
