Giochi Olimpici Tokyo 2020

The Project

As part of the IOC Boxing Task Force (BTF) project and after having followed all the qualifying phases of the sport of boxing for the Games, the YAK Agency team managed the communication of the boxing tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, in collaboration with the IOC, the International Olympic Committee. For our agency this is already the fourth appearance at the Olympic Games.

International Press Office

During the Olympic tournament in Tokyo, YAK Agency reported on the competitions and the athletes' stories through daily articles and press releases in English. A total of 34 news items were written and published on the Athlete 365 - Boxing corner website. In addition, in cooperation with the IOC Communication Department, we organised the press conferences for the presentation of the Olympic tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Main Press Centre, coordinating the presence of athletes, authorities and media.

MEDIA RELATIONS

YAK Agency managed local and international media relations on behalf of the IOC Boxing Task Force, in coordination with the press offices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Press Office and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Press Office. During the Olympics, we managed daily relations with accredited and on-site media, as well as relations with remotely connected media, facilitating coverage of the event in coordination with various stakeholders.

TOKYO 2020 BOXING MEDIA GUIDE PRODUCTION

YAK Agency was responsible for producing the content of the Tokyo 2020 Boxing Media Guide. In the Media Guide we reconstructed the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics through the 'Boxing Road to Tokyo' qualifying tournaments, retraced the history of boxing at the Olympic Games, described the biographies of the top athletes competing, the new regulations, BTF Rankings, statistics and much more, coordinating a team of consultants.

Photo Management

YAK Agency, through its photo specialist, took charge of the photo management of the Boxing venue during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. AYAK Agency envoy travelled to Tokyo two months before the start of the Games and stayed there until the end of the Games, coordinating, and managing all the photographers that were there during the Olympic boxing tournament.

Web layout

YAK Agency provided consultancy and graphic outputs for the creation of the web layout of the website dedicated to the IOC Boxing Task Force project, 'the Boxing Corner', based on the Athlete 365 platform.
